It’s now been almost four months since Teresa Giudice reported to prison to begin serving a 15-month sentence on fraud charges, and though she’s nearly a third of the way through her time at Danbury Correctional (she’ll likely qualify for early release), sources say the Jersey Housewife has yet to learn her lesson, as she’s reportedly been serving the easiest hard time on record.
“She’s a diva, absolutely,” one fellow inmate recently told Radar Online. “Just the way she got her job, that’s definitely diva treatment.”
Like the rest of the inmates, Teresa makes 12 cents an hour doing menial work, but sources say she was able to swap out her sweaty, claustrophobic laundry room gig for a much cushier job in the cafeteria.
"She wipes tables three days a week and it’s maybe for 15-20 minutes a shift," says the source. "Why should she get that when people are outside shoveling snow?"
Of course, life in prison revolves around mealtimes, so it’s the special treatment that Teresa receives in the chow line that’s really pissing the other ladies off:
“She comes in very late and if the short line is closed her friend will go and get her the tray,” the insider says. “You’re not allowed to do that, but for Teresa you’re allowed to do that."
Well, you can take a diva out of the Jersey McMansion, but you can’t make Teresa Giudice stop acting like an entitled jerk.
Despite all her special treatment from guards and fellow inmates, the biggest advantage that Teresa has is the fact that she’s able to continue earning for her family while she’s locked up.
The first photo of Teresa in prison reportedly fetched six figures for her struggling family.
Ironically, Teresa might her find her transition to the outside to be rougher than her life behind bars.
Rumors about Joe Giudice cheating on her and Bravo firing her from the show that made her famous could have Ms. Giudice longing to return to Danbury.
