It’s been about a month since we first learned that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are dating, and it initially seemed as though the relationship couldn’t be going any better.
They haven’t been making red carpet appearances together, but we’re seen photos of Taylor and Calvin shopping at Whole Foods in matching shirts, which sounds like something out of her dream journal.
Of course, Caylor hasn’t officially gone public yet, and there may be good reason for it. A lot of guys have come and the media has taken an extremely close interest in her breakups.
Through it all, of course, Taylor’s cats have been her constant companions. Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson (the cats, not the TV characters) have seen her through some tough times, and now it looks like they may be the cause of her latest heartache.
Sources close to the couple say Calvin is extremely allergic to Taylor’s cats, and it’s preventing him from spending quality time with his new boo.
"When he stayed over at Taylor’s LA house last week, Calvin says he was up all night blowing his nose and complaining he couldn’t breathe," an insider tells Heat magazine. "Apparently, he’s allergic to the long, fluffy hair on Taylor’s cats, and they usually sleep in the bed, so it’s everywhere.
"He left really early the next morning – I think it’s caused a bit of tension because now Calvin wants to meet up in hotel rooms or at his place in LA, but not at Taylor’s house.”
Yikes. Is he really gonna let a little fur on the comforter mess this thing up? We’d say he better learn to shake it off, or the blank space next to Taylor will be filled by two purring kitties.
