Goodbye, Zayn Malik. Hello, new One Direction album!!!!!

With most of the free world still grieving the loss of Malik from this beloved boy band, Niall Horan took to Twitter on Sunday and gave fans a reason to hope.

"Had a sit down last night with the label, started organizing our writing sessions for the next album!" Horan wrote. "F–kkk yeaaaahhhh! Can’t wait!"

As One Direction reorganizes and prepares their studio return, Liam Payne also weighed in on the group’s future yesterday, thanking 1D’s famously loyal fans for their support.

"I can see a lot of people thanking us for staying but your the real Heros here thanks for not thinking it’s finished," he Tweeted.

Malik came out late last week and elaborated on his resignation from One Direction.

He said he hadn’t been happy in the group for a long time and tried to explain himself to those he has disappointed.

"I feel like I’ve let the fans down but I can’t do this anymore," Malik said. "It’s not that I’ve turned my back on them or anything, it’s just that I just can’t do that anymore because it’s not the real me."

The remaining four artists, meanwhile, are currently on tour in Johannesburg, South Africa.

And while no one made mention of Malik’s absence last night, Harry Styles clearly referenced the ongoing upheaval when addressing the crowd with:

"Thank you for choosing to spend your evening with us. You have no idea how much we love you right now. I won’t lie to you. Tonight was a big deal for us, and what you’ve done tonight has meant so much to us. We love you."

Earlier in the week, performing for the first time as a quartet instead of a quintet, Styles broke down and cried on stage.
