The main focus on Ryan, however, provided Seamus Dever with a unique opportunity to show off his dramatic acting chops.

Aside from using flashbacks to tell the Case of the Week story, Castle teamed up Ryan with Rick, as the pair broke out standing silhouettes and laser beams to map out various bullet trajectories.
In the end, viewers were surprised to learn that the Congressman’s wife was actually innocent (of shooting him at least, though her alibi was not exactly ethically sound) and that the Chief of Staff was actually behind the incident.
As you’ll note when you watch Castle online, Ryan also confronted brother-in-law Frank this week about the cash he’s been making on the side.
Meanwhile, there was very little Caskett. But there may be a whole lot of career movement for Beckett going forward.
Following some dude raving about her reputation, which followed last week’s discovery that a classmate rose in the ranks faster than she did, Beckett is now studying for the captain’s exam.
