Viewers were left with many questions following The Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 15, but none more pressing than this:
DID RICK GRIMES GO TOO FAR?
During the intense hour, our hero stepped in to put a stop to Pete beating wife Jessie and son Sam, with Pete telling Rick to leave… Rick telling Pete to leave with him… and then the two men going at it. Hard.
They crashed through windows. They went flying off porches. The tussle spilling into the streets of Alexandria and took place in front of aghast onlookers.
A bloody Rick proceeded to pull a gun on an intervening Deanna and other residents, spouting off with a speech that must be transcribed verbatim:
You still don’t get it. None of you do. We know what needs to be done and we do it. We’re the ones who live. You, you just sit and plan and hesitate. You pretend like you know when you don’t. You wish things weren’t what they are.
Well, you want to live? You want this place to stay standing?
Your way of doing things is done. Things don’t get better because you want them to. Starting right now we have to live in the real world. We have to control who lives here.
With that, Michonne knocked Rick out old, leaving fans to wonder how this storyline will be resolved on The Walking Dead Season 5 finale next Sunday.
