Even though Kate Middleton is eight months pregnant there was no keeping her away from this year’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities.
No, the Duchess wasn’t caught guzzling liters of green beer (Maybe next year!) but she did uphold the annual tradition of handing out shamrocks to the Irish Guards.
Kate looked very much in the festive mood while visiting with the men of the Guards, but unlike in years past, she did not sport the usual St. Paddy’s Day green.
We’re guessing it’s hard enough to find stylish maternity threads without having a specific color in mind. Even if you’re Kate.
Early in her pregnancy, Kate suffered from severe morning sickness and was forced to cancel several public appearances.
Those days are long behind her, however, and in her third trimester, the Duchess has kept up a hectic work schedule, often squeezing in several appearances a week.
Kate has even said that she "forgets" she’s pregnant sometimes!
We’re sure no one would’ve minded if Kate forgot she was knocked up long enough for a pint of Guinness today, but by all accounts, the Duchess was on her best behavior.
No word on whether or not Prince William did a bit of imbibing to celebrate the holiday, but if he did, he certainly waited until after the Irish Guards ceremony. As Colonel of the Regiment, William was in full military regalia.
