You don’t need The Bachelor spoilers to tell you that the booze flows freely on the set, but one contestant says the show takes this practice way too far.
Jordan Branch, who briefly wooed Chris Soules on the current season of the ABC franchise, is pointing the finger at the producers for her boozy behavior.
Already booted off The Bachelor, Branch says she told producers she was worried about hitting the bottle on the show, but they did nothing to address it.
If you watch The Bachelor online, you saw Branch’s cringe-worthy behavior, which she claims was the result of non-stop drinks provided by producers.
Branch says she believes producers manipulate contestants by constantly refreshing their glasses to get the "results" they want at the famed mansion.
The producers counter that while they do provide free alcohol, it’s her choice, as plenty of past and present cast members have not consumed any of it.
Not a drop. Contestants are free to make their own decisions about drinking, and if they’re "not good ones," well, then yes, the cameras will be rolling.
Any fan of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette knows that there’s always a few people who drink too much during these early episodes each season.
With literally dozens of people chasing Chris Soules (or whomever), the star only has so much time for each of them. How else are they going to fill it?
On the flip side, only a few get out of control. Liquor being present does not mean every man or woman on the show is stumbling around or blacking out.
As for Branch’s "concerns" that she voiced? The show clearly feels it’s her responsibility to control herself, but she thinks the show should play a role.
Basically, cut people off after a certain point, much like a bartender would. She admits she overdid it, but feels the shot-callers deserve some of the blame.
Maybe. When you bring whiskey bottles from the plane or mini-bar and give them to the guy when you step out of the limo, though? That’s on you, Jordan.
