The Milkaelson siblings took center stage on The Originals Season 2 Episode 8.

Claire Holt returned to that made her famous this week, with Auntie Beks calling Elijah in desperation because Esther had tracked her and Hope down.
With Klaus intent on turning Kol and Finn to their side, Elijah was sent to protect his siblings.
But Rebekah noticed something was off with Elijah almost as soon as they met at a diner. He had blood stain on his sleeve and when she went to change the baby, she noticed a dozen employees a diner patrons slaughtered in the kitchen.
Whatever Esther did to Elijah was still affecting him, which Rebekah at least figured out, snapping Elijah’s neck to subdue him and calling Klaus with the news. They arranged to meet somewhere.
While all this was going on, Hayley was learning about her ancestors.
You can watch The Originals online (via the above video) to see her discover the secrets of a unification ceremony. When two Alphas marry, whatever unique powers they possess get passed on to the pack of their spouse.
And Hayley is a Hybrid. She can control her werewolf powers at all times. Therefore, she agreed to marry Jackson in order to ensure that his pack of werewolves no longer need their daylight rings. They no longer need to be controlled by the witches.
Of course, she didn’t run this idea by Elijah or Klaus – and we’d imagine the former will be unhappy because he has feelings for Hayley, while the latter won’t want a bunch of Hybrids out there.
ELSEWHERE:
- Davina channeled some dark magic and used it to take down Klaus. But Kol had been convinced to take his brother’s side and talked Davina into reviving Klaus. Kol is now on Team Take Down Esther.
- But Finn is not. And he got put in a coffin as a result.
- Cami noticed weird markings on her back and a pre-boxed Finn told her why: Esther has prepared her to become a vessel for Rebekah to jump into once Rebekah agrees to do away with her vampirism.
Only one new installment remains in 2015.
