Fix My Choir Season 1 Episode 1, which premiered last night on Lifetime, did not leave much to the imagination as far as what the reality show is about.
The title basically says it all, doesn’t it?
As its name implies, Fix My Choir Season 1 Episode 1 found gospel great Deitrick Haddon and singer Michelle Williams team up to … well, fix choirs.
Be it a community unit, school group or full-fledged gospel choir, Deitrick and Michelle are there to help them fine tune their craft and find the perfect pitch.
It’s not all about the music, either.
Sometimes, it’s about coming together as people, and as a cohesive unit whose personalities truly mesh. That can bring as much to the table as raw vocal talent.
Such was the case with Joshua Kagler, whose tumultuous choir has been torn asunder by Hurricane Katrina, and is a shell of its past, award-winning glory.
Can those glory days come back?
There will be some stiff head winds, to keep the weather puns coming. Deitrick and Michelle ask a former member to join back in, causing quite a stir.
