The Flash is off and running on The CW. Literally.
On The Flash Season 1 Episode 1 last night, viewers were introduced to Grant Gustin as Barry Allen (okay, re-introduced, considering we met the character last year on Arrow), a young man who has been through a great deal in his life.
His mother is dead. His father has been wrongly imprisoned for her murder. And Barry was just hit by lightening during a freak accident at a local science lab.
After months in a coma, however, Allen wakes up to learn he’s evolved into the fastest man alive. He now has legs to match the heart that is dead set on saving Central City.
But it won’t be easy, not when the accident also created other meta-humans, not all of them possessing good intentions.
The Flash Season 1 opener has been extremely well-received by critics and viewers so far. What can we all expect going forward? Check out this extended promo and find out now:
