Kylie Jenner looks to be in an introspective, somber and melancholy mood following the divorce filing that will end her parents’ marriage after 23 years.
At least from what we can glean from her latest cryptic Instagram post.
The 17-year-old reality star posted a quote pertaining to “insecurities” and “emptiness” on her Instagram this week, a day after Kris Jenner filed for divorce.
The youngest child of Kris and Bruce Jenner wrote to her 12 million followers on the social network, using a quote from Miami-based writer R. M. Drake.
“I discovered that our disconnect was never because of the insecurities we felt, but rather the emptiness we created when we failed to make sense of ourselves.”
Kylie and sister Kendall Jenner, 18, were devastated by the news of their parents’ separation, which you know if you watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
“I don’t want to live like I have divorced parents!” Kendall sobbed to Kylie in the Season 9 premiere, and now it looks like you can remove the “like.”
Kris Jenner, 58, filed the divorce papers sans a lawyer, and Bruce Jenner, 64, responded with almost exactly the same terms and also no attorney.
They’ve worked this all out, it appears, to the point where there are no points of contention and both would simply be happier living apart from the other.
One of the few questions left unanswered is the future of Keeping Up, the lucrative E! reality TV franchise that has become the Kris Jenner flagship.
Aside from that, she and Bruce seem to have divided up their current and future earnings in a way both consider fair, and have no issues with the other.
Whether their children are as okay with it remains to be seen, as divorce is never easy for the kids, even if Kylie Jenner is almost (almost!!) a legal adult.
Kendall appears (maybe) to be coping with things slightly better than Kylie, posting a throwback photo of her parents in happier times with no caption.
