For better or for worse, here are 11 fast food menu items that no longer exist. At least not in their original forms.
McDonald’s Arch Delux (Commercial ft. Jessica Biel!)
Before she was famous, Jessica Biel starred in a McDonald’s Arch Deluxe commercial.
Long John Silver’s Peg-Leg Dinner
In keeping with its pirate theme, Long John Silver’s once had a peg-leg dinner made up of drumsticks. When these failed, they started calling their chicken filets “planks.”
Taco Bell Sizzlin Bacon
In 1995, Taco Bell introduced their Sizzlin Bacon menu. Bummer they didn’t bring that BLT Soft Taco back for their breakfast menu.
McDonald’s Fried Apple Pie
Sure, you can still buy the apple pie at McDonald’s, but the baked, 2-for-$1 imitation is just that. An imitation. #FriedPiesForever
Burger King Burger Shots
What’s better than a tiny burger? How about a six-pack of tiny burgers.
Burger King Chicken Fries
Burger King chicken fries were actually sort of genius.
McDonald’s McSalad Shakers
The hilarious thing about the failure of the McSalad Shaker is the insane amount of pins on Pinterest of shake-em-up salads in Mason jars. Guess the McSalad Shaker wasn’t hipster enough.
Taco Bell Beefer
The Taco Bell Beefer was the Border’s answer to the Sloppy Joe. It was so popular that when they discontinued it, patrons brought their own buns to the store to recreate the item.
Wendy’s Superbar
Check out this commercial for Wendy’s Superbar from 1988!
McDonald’s McDLT
So basically this is a burger you have to build yourself. Despite the crazy amount of styrofoam (which is why it was discontinued) it’s kind of a dumb idea in the first place.
McDonald’s Onion Nuggets
These actually sound amazing. Serve them with a side of remoulade sauce and oh man. We’re thinking these could be a hit.
