Chris Brown claims an Orange County nightclub screwed him over by settling with Deanna Gines, who sued both Chris and the club claiming he assaulted her there.
Gines alleges that Chris brutalized her after his performance at Heat Ultralounge last summer in Anaheim, though her account of what happened is highly questionable.
She claims he bulldozed through her path, knocking her to the ground and injuring her leg; Chris called BS on her story, and looks to have a legitimate point.
In the surveillance video, Deanna Gines limps on one leg; later, she appeared to be walking around fine on that leg … then was seen with a cast on the other leg.
Nevertheless, Heat settled with the Chris Brown nightclub accuser for $15,000.
This means the only defendant left in the suit is Chris himself, holding the bag.
Chris’ lawyer, the hard-working Mark Geragos, thinks the settlement is grossly unfair to his client, and has filed documents asking the judge to block the deal.
Whether he succeeds or not remains to be seen, but Brown is fighting this one tooth and nail, and of all his legal woes, sounds like he’s in the right here.
Brown’s now-ex, Karrueche, also filed a declaration standing by her man, saying that Chris, who’s currently in anger management rehab, never touched Gines.
True love.
