Another stunning upset has taken place at Wimbledon.

With Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer already out on the men’s side, Serena Williams became the latest highly-ranked player to fall to a relative unknown today, as Sabine Lisicki took out the top seed in straight sets.

Lisicki won 6-2, 1-6, 6-4, putting an end to Serena’s 34-match winning streak and advancing to the quarterfinals for the second straight year at this Grand Slam event.

She pulled off the upset despite being down 3-0 in the final set.

Lisicki fought back and broke herself to go up 5-4, converting her second match point with a forehand winner and screaming in ecstasy after the unexpected win.

“I’m still shaking,” Lisicki said in a post-match interview, tears forming in her eyes. “I’m just so happy… Serena played a fantastic match. She’s such a tough opponent. Just an amazing feeling to win this match.”
