After Earth, the high-budget Will and Jaden Smith movie from M. Night Shyamalan, saw a very disappointing opening weekend, landing in third place with a total gross of $27 million.
It’s no wonder, considering After Earth got terrible reviews.
Fast and Furious 6, on the other hand, continues to have a lot of success. The action film stayed in first place for its second weekend, earning $34.54 million for a total gross of $170.4.
The new film Now You See Me even opened ahead of After Earth. The magic-themed thriller took in $28.05 million in its first three days.
