Brad Lesley, a former baseball player-turned-actor best known for his role in Little Big League, died on Saturday of kidney failure. He was 54 years old.

Lesley’s ex-wife confirmed the sad news to TMZ, saying Lesley had been residing in a nursing home for the past several months while receiving dialysis.

The ex-Major League Baseball player – who took the field for the Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers from 1982 – 1985 – was rushed to the hospital in Marina Del Rey on Saturday night and passed away a short while later.

In the 1990s, Lesley appeared in Mr. Baseball, Space Jam and will forever be remembered as an especially angry pitcher with a goatee in Little Big League.

Our thoughts go out to his loved ones.
