A tumultuous, frightening, courageous year for Robin Roberts will culminate next month when the Good Morning America anchor is honored with a Lifetime Leadership Award at the United Nations.
The reporter – who underwent a bone marrow transplant to treat a rare blood disorder and returned five months later to her post – will be presented with the trophy April 5 at the fourth annual Diane Von Furstenberg Awards.
The DVF Awards were created in 2010 by von Furstenberg and The Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation.
The event recognizes and supports women doing extraordinary work to transform the lives of other women. And, really, can you think of a better recipient than Roberts?
