The stakes were higher than ever on Dancing With the Stars this week … and patriotic!

The seven remaining All-Stars face a double-elimination tonight, after a week of safety.

Each took the floor to perform a dance inspired by military aspects in honor of Veteran’s Day, then returned with an additional ballroom professional for a trio.

Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani earned a perfect 30 BOTH times! U-S-A! U-S-A!

As for the rest of the field? There were plenty of standout efforts. Let’s see …

Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough were nearly perfect in their first dance:

Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke hit the covered triple 10s with their trio:

Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy tied with Emmitt and Cheryl overall:

Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd were sizzling as you’d expect …

Apolo Ohno and Karina Smirnoff dazzled us with a pair of very strong efforts:

Kirstie Alley and Maks Chmerkovskiy brought up the rear, but were still good:

Here’s how the leaderboard stacked up, combined with last week’s scores:

  • Melissa Rycroft & Tony Dovolani: 30, 30 (99)
  • Shawn Johnson & Derek Hough: 29.5, 26 (93.5)
  • Emmitt Smith & Cheryl Burke: 28, 30 (92.5)
  • Kelly Monaco & Val Chmerkovskiy: 28, 28.5 (92.5)
  • Gilles Marini & Peta Murgatroyd: 29.5, 29 (92)
  • Apolo Ohno & Karina Smirnoff: 29.5, 29 (91.5)
  • Kirstie Alley & Maks Chmerkovskiy: 27, 24 (79)

Looks like it’s probably the end of the line for Kirstie Alley, and … someone else? It’s going down to the wire tonight for probably everyone but Melissa.
