Khloe Kardashian is forgetting all about Tristan Thompson and calling round two on one of her famous exes!
Following her nasty breakup with the literal trash that is Tristan, Khloe has been leaning on a familiar face for support — rapper French Montana.
It seems Khloe is taking sister Kim Kardashian’s advice after all and ditching the no-good basketball players for a more mellow and esteemed profession: musicians.
According to HollywoodLife, the 34-year-old artist has been one of Khloe’s biggest support systems throughout the extremely public and difficult split.
An insider close to the reality star explained why her past flame has been so helpful.
“Khloe has been leaning on her ex French in the last several months, and especially as she has been dealing with her split from Tristan,” the source said.
And while the couple isn’t official, the source didn’t deny that the two definitely still have “chemistry”.
“They are more than just friends, French is someone that Khloe has always been able to trust and talk to about things,” the source added.
“Khloe feels comfortable opening up to French because she feels he will always give her his honest opinion about what she is going through.”
She also apparently likes that he is older and more mature — you know, the opposite of Tristan.
“She likes having an objective, guy point of view on things. Plus, even though they are no longer romantic, they still have great chemistry together.”
According to the insider, Kardashian and Montana have remained friends despite ending their brief relationship nearly four years ago.
“Khloe always felt that French had her best interests at heart and will forever respect him and what he has to say.
“She feels that he is super intelligent and has a kind heart and that he will always be there for her,” the source revealed of the two former lovebirds.
The socialite seems to feel safe around him and trusts him completely, so does that mean the pair will give their love another chance?
“It is too soon to see if sparks will every fly again between the two as it isn’t out of the realm of possibility, but Khloe needs him more as a friend right now and they are both OK with that,” the source spilled.
Khloe and the “Unforgettable” rapper split back in 2014, but French was quick to pop back up in Khloe’s life following the first time the E! star’s most recent boyfriend was caught cheating in April of 2018.
Just two days after Tristan’s first cheating scandal, the singer started following Khloe on Instagram.
And while they have been spotted hanging out with several of Khloe’s family members and friends, we think the timing of his “follow” may hint at something more.
Regardless of what the two may or may not be right now, Khloe has been handling this break up like a queen with the utmost dignity and grace.
She is a first-time mom after all and knows daughter True “needs a happy and healthy mommy.”
“As unforgivable as Tristan’s behavior is, she’s bound and determined to forgive him,” the source claims.
Perhaps, French is just the medicine required to cure Khlo’s heartbreak?
