Audiences already know that Wendy Williams won’t return to TV any time soon.

But despite her focus on her health during this hiatus, she had still been making creative decisions behind the scenes.

According to a new report, she’s no longer involved in any decisions on the show.

According to Us Weekly, Wendy Williams is no longer holding the reins on her show, even behind the scenes.

"At first they were keeping her and [husband] Kevin Hunter in the loop," the insider says.

That makes sense. Her name is literally in the show title.

Just because she isn’t feeling up to appearing on air doesn’t mean that she can’t make creative decisions.

Initially, the source says, they were "getting their approval on replacement hosts and guests."

It’s no surprise that Wendy was included in choosing her stand-ins during her indefinite hiatus.

But that arrangement has now changed.

"She is 100 percent not involved," the insider says.

Oh wow.

It sounds like she’s not even being overruled — because there’s no discussion with her.

"Every decision is now being made with zero conversations with Wendy," the source explains.

That’s a huge change.

In January, Wendy Williams’ family released a statement on her extended hiatus.

"As Wendy Williams Hunter previously shared, she fractured her shoulder and has been on the mend," the statement began.

"Over the past few days," the statement continued. "Wendy has experienced complications regarding her Graves’ Disease that will require treatment."

"Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians," her family noted.

"And as part of her care," they continued. "There will be significant time spent in the hospital."

"Despite her strong desire to return, she is taking a necessary, extended break from her show," her family affirmed.

Wendy will be using this time "to focus on her personal and physical well-being."

Nick Cannon spoke about Wendy’s health when he filled in for her to call Kate Beckinsale a cougar.

"She’s doing great," Nick praised of Wendy.

"Health is first," he affirmed. "I mean, [as] someone who also deals with autoimmune conditions, I know how it goes."

"You wake up one day thinking you feel great," he characterized. "And you can hit a wall like that."

Chronic ailments can be like that, robbing people of life experiences and opportunities while appearing invisible to outsiders.

Graves’ disease is an autoimmune disorder.

It is very common, with more than 3 million cases in the US per year.

Tell-tale symptoms include a swelling of the neck and eyes, the result of an overactive thyroid gland.

Another key symptom is heat sensitivity — which may have been a factor in Wendy’s famous collapse on Halloween 2017 on live television.

Additionally, late last year, Wendy appeared to slur her words as a result of pain medication for her injury.

Though Wendy has gleefully built her brand upon on the personal suffering of others for years, we wish her a full and speedy recovery.

The Wendy Williams Show without the titular host is a big deal, especially on an indefinite hiatus like this.

The show without Wendy’s input will be very different.

Will audiences accept it … or revolt?

At this point, many may tune in out of habit, perhaps hoping for some new tidbit of information about Wendy.

As eager as we’re sure that Wendy is to return to television, we’re glad that she is focusing on her health and recovery.

Everything else is secondary.

Besides, she’s worth $60 million. If it comes to that, she can just retire.
