Khloe Kardashian has taken to Instagram in order to share her thoughts on Jussie Smollett.

The Empire actor, of course, was brutally beaten in Chicago very early on Tuesday morning, with the two assailants taunting Smollett for being gay and African-American and also screaming that he’s in "MAGA country."

It’s a truly awful and depressing story.

In the wake of this tragedy, an endless array of stars around Hollywood have sent their thoughts and prayers and best wishes to Smollett.

And Khloe is now here to do the same.

“My heart breaks for @JussieSmollett!” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star wrote to open her statement on her Instagram Story.

She continued:

“I am horrified by what happened to this beautiful soul! No one EVER deserves what has taken place! We are in a shameful place in American history where blatant racism and bigotry is escalating at a scary rate.

"We must stand up and demand what is right.”

Smollett wasn’t merely assaulted.

He had a rope wrapped around his neck and he had bleach poured all over him.

As many have noted online, this was a modern-day lynching. Truly sickening.

Concluded Kardashian in her post:

I am so beyond sorry!! So much evil out there! I am praying for your soul to be at peace, your heart to heal and for these horrible excuses of people to be caught and prosecuted!

I am disgusted.

We feel the same way.

Smollett reportedly stumbled into his apartment building lobby after the attack and called his manager.

The manager then called the police and took Smollett to the hospital.

Late yesterday, meanwhile, authorities in Chicago confirmed that two suspects have been caught on surveillance cameras.

We don’t know their names and it’s nearly impossible to see their faces and/or make out very many details — but police have released the following images to the public in order to see if anyone can be of assistance.

"Photos of people of interest who were in area of the alleged assault & battery of Empire cast member,” Chicago Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi tweeted on Wednesday night, adding:

"While video does not capture an encounter, detectives are taking this development seriously & wish to question individuals as more cameras are being reviewed."

Smollett also received a death threat via mail just over a week prior to this attack.

The FBI is investigating that incident and detectives are now working hard to identify the men in these snapshots.

Elsewhere, police have confirmed to TMZ that they have video of Smollett with rope draped around his neck as he walks through the lobby of his building.

That footage was captured by a building surveillance camera.

Guglielmi previously confirmed that reports on the Internet over what transpired are accurate.

"The victim [went] to Subway just after midnight and on his way back, he was attacked by two men," the official report read after news of the assault went viral.

"They were masked and wearing black clothing… and they used a homophobic slur. They also used the N-word.

"They proceeded to assault him, and they throw a chemical on him that may have been bleach, and put a rope around neck."

We continue to keep Smollett in our thoughts and we’ll continue to update our site with news as it breaks.
