Controversial Duggar in-law Derick Dillard has taken to Twitter to defend some of his previous attacks against Jazz Jennings.

Perhaps taking a page from certain world leaders who will remain nameless, he’s somehow claiming he never attacked Jazz.

Yes, despite going out of his way to go on record ripping the transgender TLC star personally, he is now attempting the Shaggy defense.

If Derick listened to any sort of music that wasn’t fundamentalist Christian-approved, he might appreciate that reference. Alas.

A fan recently mentioned Dillard bullying the I Am Jazz star, encouraging Dillard not to judge others. The Twitter user wrote:

“Jazz did nothing to him to deserve the trash talking she received. So try again. Judge others like he does & you’ll be judged the same."

Dillard’s confusing response to that valid critique?

“None of anything i said was directed at Jazz.”

First of all, "none of anything" is not how people talk.

Second of all … dude, have you met yourself?!

Jill Duggar’s husband and the father of her sons Israel, 2, and Samuel, 6 months, went off on Jazz multiple times in the last six months.

“What an oxymoron… a ‘reality’ show which follows a non-reality,” he said in a reply to a tweet from TLC that PROMOTED HER SHOW.

“‘Transgender’ is a myth," Derick went on.

"Gender is not fluid; it’s ordained by God.”

He later claimed he harbors no ill will toward Jazz, and even though he referred with the wrong pronoun, he again referenced Jazz.

“I want to be clear," he tweeted. "I have nothing against him. I only have issue with the words and definitions being propagated here."

The "I have nothing against you, I’m just sharing my thoughts that demean you as a person" is a flimsy defense, but more to the point:

That was 100 percent directed at Jazz.

Moreover, a few months later, he reiterated his controversial views and mentioned Jazz again, by (incorrect) pronoun and by name.

He wrote in November of last year:

“I pity Jazz," he wrote in November.

"4 those who take advantage of him in order 2 promote their agenda, including the parents who allow these kinds of decisions 2 be made by a child."

“It’s sad that ppl would use a juvenile this way," he said. "Again, nothing against him, just unfortunate what’s on tv these days.”

You know what’s not on TV these days?

Derick Dillard, who got fired by TLC over these comments that he now says he didn’t make. The network made clear why, too.

“We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months," TLC said in a statement.

"The network has no plans to feature him in the future."

"We want to reiterate that Derick’s personal statements do not reflect the views of the network."

"TLC is proud to share the story of Jazz Jennings and her family and will continue to do so.”

Derick, of course, later said after being fired that he was not fired, but quit the show due to differences of opinion.

"Unbelievable what’s considered newsworthy these days, but then again this is how I heard I was ‘fired,’” Dillard wrote on Twitter.

“For the record, I was never fired. I just felt it was best for my family to cut ties months ago, as we are heading in a different direction.”

His "explanation" felt like semantics, pointing out that he was never under contract and therefore couldn’t be "fired."

"Yes, I’m no longer doing [the show], but nowhere did they say that I was fired,” Derick wrote. “Big difference."

"You can’t be fired from somewhere you never worked. That’s what’s so funny. I was fake fired from my fake job.

“PR must be their justification," he added.

"See it is funny, you’re laughing too lol.”

At you, Derick, not with you.
