There’s so very much not to like about Farrah Abraham.
There was a time when we would’ve followed that up with "we don’t even know where to start," but these days, we know exactly where to start:
Parenting. Or lack thereof.
Farrah is an incompetent, often negligent individual who almost seems to be making an effort to screw up her innocent 7-year-old daughter, Sophia.
In recent weeks, Sophia’s modeling career has drawn criticism from all corners of the Internet.
And it’s not hard to see why:
Farrah has had Sophia pose for age-inappropriate photos, and has even allowed the girl to create her own social media pages, in direct violation of most sites’ terms of service.
Sophia was kicked off Snapchat after other users complained that she was posting videos late at night asking strangers to message her.
However, Sophia still has an Instagram page, which she uses to promote her children’s boutique (Yes, that’s a real thing.) and occasionally post photos and videos of activities that kids her age are supposed to be engaged in:
"Wow!! Her hair finally looks decent!"
"Omg she’s actually speaking real words!!!!!"
"A kind child that hits her grandmother oh yes sweet child."
That last one was in response to someone calling people out for posting rude comments on a 7-year-old’s page, so yes, there are people defending her.
But still, this whole thing is a reminder of why it’s not a great idea for 7-year-old’s to have social media.
Many of the insults may have been directed at Farrah by way of Sophia, but try explaining that to a second grader.
Farrah also posted some clips of Sophia’s cheerleading debut…
…and of course, she found a way to make it about her by pointing out that she was also a cheerleader and Sophia is totes following in her footsteps.
Naturally, Farrah was also dissed by dozens of followers.
But the difference is, she’s a grown woman who chose this life and is well-compensated for it.’
Sophia was literally born into this.
And now she’s already beginning to experience the consequences of her mother’s poor decision-making.
We may all one day look back on the cheerleading incident as the moment that Farrah’s story went from funny to tragic.
