Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott have been having some financial problems lately.
We don’t mean they’ve been experiencing the usual post-fame lean years endured by many a formerly successful celeb.
Tori and Dean are full-blown regular folk broke.
They’re getting sued by credit card companies and everything.
The couple has downgraded from their posh Calabasas mansion to a much smaller home in working-class Torrance, and Tori recently suffered the humiliation of starring in commercials for a psychic hotline.
In recent weeks, the couple’s financial situation seemed to have stabilized, and Tori went from telling her sob story to claiming that it’s all good in the significantly-less-posh hood.
Now, however, it looks as though the couples’ money troubles have reared their ugly head once more, as TMZ is reporting that Tori and Dean owe the state of California over a quarter million in back taxes/
The site reported this morning that the Spelling-McDermotts were hit with a tax lien of nearly $260,000 as a result of allegedly not paying their taxes in 2014.
The silver lining is that the six-figure sum indicates the couple made a lot of money that year.
Unfortunately, it looks as though that cash is long gone, and the couple is reportedly very concerned about the prospect of how they’ll make things right with the authorities.
Back in May, Tori and Dean renewed their wedding vows in a lavish ceremony as a means of sending the message that their marriage and their bank account have both recovered after some turbulent times.
These days, we’re guessing they wish they could get a refund.
It’s anyone’s guess as to whether or not they’d like to take back those "I do’s."
