Kim Kardashian is the latest celebrity to speak out after the recent murders of black men.

Alton Sterling was gunned down on Wednesday July 6, 2016 and the response to his murder has been crazy.

We reported earlier this morning that another black man named Philando Castile was murdered by police officers on July 9, 2016.

Kardashian obviously never checked the news last night and was quick to upload a picture of her cleavage to the internet.

This brought a lot of controversy with it as people found it pretty insensitive considering recent events.

Kim obviously thought it was time to deflect the attention away from her cleavage, so she penned an open letter about the murders on her website.

“Like a lot of you guys, I watched the videos, and was appalled and completely heartbroken. I was left speechless, angry and numb.” The mom of two writes.

“I want my children to grow up knowing that their lives matter. I do not ever want to have to teach my son to be scared of the police, or tell him that he has to watch his back because the people we are told to trust — the people who ‘protect and serve’ — may not be protecting and serving him because of the color of his skin.”

The reality star didn’t specifically mention the Dallas tragedy, but it’s clear that her next response is in relation to it.

“The last thing we need is to fuel anger with more hate or violence, especially toward the many incredible police officers who risk their lives every single day to protect our families and communities.”

Instead, she argues, “We must peacefully use the power of our voices and the strength of our numbers to demand changes in the judicial system so that brutality doesn’t ever go unpunished.”

Kardashian has recently started speaking out about tragedies. This is all new to her, but it is pretty nice that she tries to let the world know her thoughts on current events.

Still, It’s a bit odd that she thought of uploading a new picture of her cleavage as everyone is talking about these tragedies.

Was Kris Jenner calling her and telling her to do damage control on her website?

That’s a strong possibility.

The reality TV star closed off her lengthy post with a pretty bold statement.

“Hashtags are not enough. This must end now.”

Indeed, it must end.
