On Scandal Season 5 Episode 13, the Secret Service looked for help from – who else – Olivia’s team when they themselves into trouble.
Meanwhile, Abby struggled mightily to keep Fitz in line. How so?
Picking up where we left off last week, Scandal Season 5 Episode 13 found the President spending most of his time in his bedroom.
Pretty standard stuff. Fitz has never had a hard time getting some.
His sex life is planned out meticulously these days, both in terms of scheduling and non-disclosure agreements with everyone involved.
Magical, romantic times. Until Mellie Grant walks in on one of his girlfriends, and is especially turned off since their son was around.
V.P. Susan Ross, meanwhile, is turned off for a different reason.
She tells David Rosen that Fitzgerald Grant’s sex life will one day make for insane tabloid fodder – which she wants nothing to do with.
As for Olivia Pope, she is dispatched to the hotel room of four secret service agents … and one dead woman, who worked as a prostitute.
It appears she has overdosed on heroin, fallen over and died – perfect situation for Olivia to "clean up" after, quite literally in this case.
Asked if she’s really prepared to cover up what happened here, Olivia doesn’t flinch: “It was an accident and she was a hooker so, yes."
Marcus, however, is not assuaged, and learns that the agents killed her, then pumped her full of heroin to cover up their own actions.
Later, Olivia tells Fitz what his Secret Service agents did.
“The fish rots from the head,” she says, a harsh but accurate insinuation that the POTUS’ promiscuity has hurt his own staff’s morality.
Elsewhere, Cyrus Beene is up to his manipulative tricks as well, as he urges Pennsylvania Gov. Francisco Vargas to run for president.
The governor is completely uninterested until Cyrus works his shady magic – if you watch Scandal online, you’ll love how he pulls it off.
