As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Nicki Minaj went off on Miley Cyrus during her VMA acceptance speech on Sunday night.

In the days since, fans have hotly debated the issue of whether the Miley-Nicki feud was real or fake.

Nicki’s anger seemed real, but the moment felt too perfectly dramatic to have been unscripted.

We may never know for sure if the moment was planned in advance or if Miley was genuinely caught off guard, but a key piece of evidence has emerged that leads us to believe the beef was 100% genuine:

Check out Miley’s face in the clip above. Anyone who’s seen The Hannah Montana Movie knows homegirl is not that good of an actress.

She recovered nicely and delivered some faux-apologetic BS about how were words had been "manipulated" by an interviewer (because we’re sure The New York Times has nothing better to do than orchestrate a feud between two pop stars), but it looks Miley was genuinely shocked when the words first came out of Nicki’s mouth.

Reps for MTV say the moment was authentic, but they kinda have to say that.

We may never know for sure what went on between these two that night, but we’re guessing it’s a good thing there was plenty of security on hand.
