The revolving door at The View is set to open next month for Rosie Perez.
Less than a year after joining the ABC talk show, and a few months after taking a hiatus to appear on Broadway, Perez will depart the program next month.
"Our friend Rosie Perez has decided to leave the show at the conclusion of this season to pursue full time her love for acting," wrote producer Bill Wolff in an email to employees.
"Stepping into the role of talk show host at the same time she has been starring on Broadway has been incredibly impressive.
"And beyond being an enormously talented performer, Rosie is a dedicated advocate who has brought passion and insight to the panel every day."
Perez leaves not long after Jenny McCarthy, Sherri Shepherd and Rosie O’Donnell all exited The View as well.
At this point, the show is known best for changing panelists every few months or so.
During her time on the panel, Perez made headlines for saying she’s quasi-straight and for accusing Lifetime of killing Whitney Houston with its biopic in February.
