Character actor Irwin Keyes has passed away at the age of 63.
Keyes, who was best known for roles in The Jeffersons, Married with Children, Growing Pains and Get Smart, lost a battle with acromegaly.
He had spent months fighting the pituitary gland disorder.
The late Keyes spent decades in the industry, earning his earliest credits with ’70s roles in The Warriors, Squeeze Play, and The Prize Fighter.
He went on to make guest appearances on The Jeffersons, where he was best remembered as the entertaining bodyguard Hugo Mojelewski.
Keyes also appeared in TV hits like Married With Children, Growing Pains, and Get Smart, and in many big and small film productions as well.
Despite his health troubles, Keyes continued to act in recent years, most recently in ABC Family’s hit series Pretty Little Liars in 2013.
Keyes is survived by his wife Tracy Fontaine, and was remembered as a "beloved uncle, brother, teammate and friend" on Facebook.
