Wiz Khalifa is off the hook in his drug possession case, which became known as his jail selfie case after he snapped the below photo in the slammer.
The “See You Again” rapper pleaded guilty in El Paso, Texas, to misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and agreed to pay a $500 fine.
Wiz was arrested in May 2014 for trying to get half a gram of marijuana past TSA officials, a victimless crime perhaps, but never a good idea.
The arrest blew up on social media, but not ’cause he got popped for weed possession. That’s about as shocking as a racy Kylie Jenner selfie.
It was the selfie Wiz took while behind bars that led to an internal investigation. Which makes sense, as you don’t see too many of these taken.
Like 2 Chainz posing with cops after they arrested him, this ended up being a non issue for the celebrity and a huge one for law enforcement.
