Selena Gomez has nearly had it with the World Wide Web.

The artist went on a bit of a rant yesterday in response to a Life & Style cover that screamed she was headed to rehab.

"Sometimes I get frustrated when I hear lies about who I am," Selena wrote on Instagram. "The Internet is meant to keep you ‘updated’ but it just takes old news and freezes it like it’s now.

"You have watched me in pain and I’ve owned up to it through my music and actions. I grew up with you."

Gomez is referring to the fact that she actually did check into rehab last year for what most outlets described as "emotional issues," likely in conjunction with her tumultuous Justin Bieber relationship.

But that’s in the past – and Gomez wishes stupid supermarket tabloids would keep it there

I’m “beyond excited to show you the next chapter, the TRUTH," she added last night.

"I’ve been keeping so many secrets… I’m reborn in every moment so who knows what I’ll become. As long as I’m happy with me."

Gomez added the hashtags, “#strongisbeautiful #healthyperspectiveonthemfools" and also included a photo of her hand touching a cut-out message that read:

“I want to CLAIM my own NAME."

This isn’t the first time in recent memory that Selena Gomez has stood up for herself.

Early last month, Gomez went off on an Internet troll, telling the moron that he was "disgusting" for negative comments he made about her body.
