If you thought Channing Tatum’s birthday message to his daughter was enough to make your heart melt (or feel rage that real, eligible men aren’t as perfect as Channing), wait until you hear what he says in the most recent issue of People Magazine.

The former Sexiest Man Alive, Channing Tatum, opens up about marriage, fatherhood, and fame.

With a successful career, a six-year marriage, and a two-year old daughter; life, according to Tatum, is chaotic but blissful. The Magic Mike star says, “None of this is easy but at the same time it’s everything I would have ever wanted.”

According to Tatum’s People Magazine interview, balancing the roles of actor, father, and husband has offered him a greater sense of clarity: "Having a family and a little girl, it really makes things super clear.”

Picking a project isn’t just as easy as taking whatever film comes along. When presented with a film, he asks himself, "Is this worth taking time away from them?”

Outside of his career, parenting has changed his lifestyle.  Before his daughter was born, he admitted he was not a morning person.

Channing said his priorities have changed.  He is up and at it in the morning.  And he shared, “The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning? I check to see if my daughter is still sleeping.”

Has fatherhood even changed his celebrity persona?  Maybe.  On The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Channing performed a family-friendly version of Magic Mike.

In addition to raising his daughter, Tatum is busy managing his A-list celeb career. He claims his success is due to the support of his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum.

“We’re a good support system for each other,” he says.  "We keep pushing each other to grow and be better. I don’t think I could do it any other way [than with her]."

What is the most humbling about Channing Tatum is his ability to be thankful.  "I’ve had way more luck than most people deserve," he says. "I’m just the luckiest guy.”
