She is all woman now, through and through, but Caitlyn Jenner is refusing to give up her treasured status as "Dad" to daughters Kylie and Kendall.
Yesterday, we reported that the two youngest members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan are understandably confused about Father’s Day this year.
With the father they knew, Bruce Jenner, officially transitioned to Caitlyn Jenner, do they even get to celebrate? Do they have two moms now?
Well, now we know. Caitlyn is telling the girls to continue calling her Dad.
According to a family friend, "[Caitlyn] spoke to each of the children separately and told them to take their time in getting used to this."
"She would prefer not to be called ‘Bruce,’" but she’ll always be their father, and "told the kids they should still call her ‘Dad,’ at least for now."
A small gesture, but one that’s both sweet and touching, don’t you think?
Caitlyn clearly loves being a parent, and wants to provide a sense of continuity for the children and ease them through this transition.
Especially for Kylie and Kendall Jenner, she feels this is important.
She may be a woman now, but she’s still their DAD, and one who will always care for them and make sure they remain the top priority.
What more can you ask of any dad? Or mom?
