Sources say the divorce between Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon was semi-amicable, but the exes just can’t stop attacking each other on wax like a pair of feuding rappers who also made babies together.

Cannon bragged about his “new girl” and dissed Mariah in his first post-split single (Yes, Nick Cannon still makes music.), and now Mariah is getting in on the act by transforming into an 8 Mile-style battle rapper and slamming her ex in her new song, “Infinity.”

“Talkin’ about you’re mad/Could it be that you just lost the best you’ve ever had?” Mariah begins.

From there she veers into Lil Wayne territory, busting out bizarre metaphors to make a series of simple points:

“Boy, you’re acting so corny like Fritos/Wouldn’t have none of that without me though,” Carey raps.

We guess that’s a pretty solid burn. Although comparing your ex to corn chips is the sort of thing that’ll fans worry about your mental health. At least she didn’t threaten to bake him into a chili pie.

Next, Mariah goes for the jugular by addressing Nick’s long-rumored financial struggles:

“Is it lack of ice got you so cold/Have you ever felt like this on your own?” Carey sings. “Why you trying to act like your grown?/Everything you own, boy, you still owe.”

You may find yourself saying, “Oh no, she didn’t,” but yes, indeed, she did.

Naturally, reps for Mariah will deny that the song is about Nick, but we all know the Elusive Chanteuse knew just what she was doing when she recorded these lyrics.
