When Liana Barrientos was planning her dream wedding, no one knew that she actually had 10 weddings in mind – to 10 different men she never divorced.

When she was just 23 years old, Barrientos got married in Westchester County, New York.

Just one year later, she was married again.

But there is a little problem with her second marriage. She didn’t divorce the first husband!

If that isn’t bad enough, 18 days after her second marriage, she said I do to another man.

Within three more weeks, she got hitched five more times.

Finally, in 2010, Barrientos said her last set of vows in the Bronx.

Between 1999 and 2002, Barrientos, 39, had been married 10 times.

Of the 10 husbands, she was married to eight of them at once.

Barrientos’ plot came to a halt in 2010 when she was busted lying on her marriage license application. She stated her 2010 nuptials was her “first and only” marriage.

This has us asking, what’s love got to do with it?

Nothing.

Barrientos’ polygamous lifestyle isn’t out of greed. It is part of an immigration scam, according to prosecutors.

Prosecutors disclosed that some of her husbands filed for permanent resident status shortly after they were married.

Filings for divorce were only after their status had been approved.

As of late, it is unclear if the men will be charged.

However, her eighth husband, was deported to his native Pakistan in 2006 after an investigation by the Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Barrientos is facing two criminal counts of “offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree,” for her false statements on the 2010 marriage license application.

Her case was exposed to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security’s Investigation Division. Seven of her ten husbands are from “red flag” countries, such as Egypt, Turkey, Georgia, Pakistan, and Mali.

On Friday, she pleaded not guilty at State Supreme Court in the Bronx. Her attorney, Christopher Wright, denied further comment.

This must not have been enough trouble for Barrientos’ liking.

After leaving court, she was arrested and charged with theft of service and criminal trespassing for sneaking onto the subway through an emergency exit.

Allegedly, Barrientos is still married to four men.

If convicted, she faces up to four years in prison.

Hey, inmates can still get married, right?
