Yesterday, something called the Kylie Jenner Challenge blew up on social media, and if you weren’t one of the unfortunate souls who got swept up in the hysteria, consider yourself lucky:

Yes, the KJC was a (thankfully short-lived) trend that saw some not-so-bright young people sticking the lips into bottles and creating suction so that their mouths would swell up and they’d more closely resemble their favorite reality star.

Of course, the major difference between these kids and Kylie is that Kylie can afford lip injections and doesn’t have to mutilate her face in order to get the pouty look that’s all the rage these days.

Check out the pics below to see why the #KylieJennerChallenge wasn’t trending for very long:

In addition to the visual cautionary tales from victims of the KJ Challenge, parents and doctors spoke out in hopes of discouraging kids from doing something stupid in hopes of looking more like Kylie.

"You’re creating an injury to your lips, that’s why they swell," says Dr. Scot Glasberg, a prominent plastic surgeon. "It’s like punching yourself in the face or running your face into the wall."

We guess it could’ve been worse. There could’ve been thousands of teens paddling each other on the ass in hopes of inducing Kim-like swelling.

Anyway, Kylie Jenner has yet to speak out on the trend, probably because she wants to put as much distance between herself and this idiocy as possible.

But we think we speak for her speak for her when we say, STOP SCREWING UP YOUR FACES JUST SO YOU CAN POST THE PICS ONLINE!!! Thank you.
