According to various reports, Kim Richards checked in to rehab this weekend.
But to hear Richards describe the night she was taken into custody by police in Beverly Hills, it doesn’t sound like the reality star thinks she has a problem.
Speaking to Dr. Phil for a special that will air on CBS tomorrow afternoon, Richards says she poured herself a “good-sized” drink and simply pulled over at the Beverly Hills Hotel because she “started to feel” its effects.
“I’m comfortable there. I’ve been going there since I’m a little girl,” she said.
So The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member found herself alone in the Polo Lounge, where she claims she did not order a drink because the bar was closed.
"It was empty, it was just us," Richards said of herself and the Polo Lounge’s waitstaff. "I do know when he mentioned the word trespassing… the waiter, he said, you know, ‘If you don’t leave, we’re gonna call the police for trespassing.’"
From there, Richards allegedly locked herself in the bathroom, which is where the Beverly Hills Police Department found her and arrested her.
According to the official report, Richards was taken into custody at 2:04 a.m. on April 16, for “displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest."
She seems relatively calm in the above clip, but sources claim Richards stormed out of the Dr. Phil interview at one point when it started to feel like an intervention.
