The ALDC’s final competition in L.A. was the focus of Dance Moms Season 5 Episode 16, but it really boiled down to Nia and Kendall’s music video projects.

If you watch Dance Moms online, you know that the parents beasting on one another and Abby Lee Miller is always the undercurrent of the program.

Dance Moms Season 5 Episode 16 was certainly no exception.

Kendall’s video for her single "Wear ‘Em Out" features the "star" and ‘tween back-up dancers in military garb parading around in an airplane hangar.

It does not look like the production value is all that high. At all.

Nia’s video, meanwhile, seems like it’s more professional, a fact that her mom certainly noticed and practically shouted from the rooftops all night.

This was a recurring theme if you didn’t pick up on that.

At the same time, the team is set to compete at Dance Kids USA where children are the judges. JoJo and Kendall get solos; Holly gets pissed at Abby.

Jill is also pissed … at Holly’s name dropping and the fact that Abby doesn’t have any serious pull or connections is being thrown in her face (allegedly).

It got ugly, and it was about to get uglier still.

Nia then clashes with Abby over whether or not she sold out. Holly confides in Aubrey O’Day about Abby, and Aubrey admits on camera she’s not a fan.

Bottom line, her bad attitude about Nia’s career opportunities has left a bad taste in Aubrey’s mouth, and she’s not the only one. Holly sure can relate.

When Aubrey states that Nia’s video surpasses anything done under Abby, and Holly humbly brags left and right, the other moms kind of lose their s–t.

At Abby’s new studio, they chastise Holly for her conduct, and she responds in kind, exploding into a quasi-nervous breakdown. Painful to watch.

Holly gets a call from Aubrey, who basically tells her haters are going to hate and to make like Taylor Swift and shake it off. That perks her up a bit.

At the competition, Abby’s fears about the kids’ peers judging them proved unfounded, as the group won first place. Kendall and JoJo? Not so much.

Kendall came in fifth with her solo, and JoJo failed to place at all. Abby didn’t freak out, which was unexpected and pleasant, but we think we know why.

It’s not like this was Maddie Ziegler or anything.
