Bruce Jenner will sit down with veteran journalist Diane Sawyer to discuss his long-rumored transition to a woman this month, according to ABC.
The network has confirmed that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians patriarch will appear and that the interview will focus on Bruce’s new journey.
The two-hour ABC News special, titled "Bruce Jenner: The Interview," is just one part of the grand unveiling plan for the Bruce Jenner sex change.
As outlandish as the rumors initially sounded, Bruce has clearly become more feminine before our eyes and is now on the verge of a full scale transition.
Sources have claimed that the Olympic gold medalist will first open up to Diane Sawyer, then document his transition for an untitled E! reality series.
"The world will see his full transformation," a Jenner source says. "It’s a docu-series featuring the Jenner family talking about Bruce ‘coming out.’"
Bruce recently put the docu-series on hold after his fatal car crash in Malibu and reportedly feeling the heat from certain members of his divided family.
It’s unclear if the show is back on.
Kris Jenner is another story, but he has the support of his 10 children and stepchildren, notably daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and sons Brody and Brandon.
The Kardashians have been supportive as well. In February, Kim Kardashian told ET that her stepdad was "the happiest" she’s ever seen. She said:
"I think everyone goes through things in life, and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he’ll share whenever the time is right."
"I feel like that’s his journey to talk about."
Just last week, Khloe Kardashian railed against Jamie Foxx for his recent "mean" comments about Bruce made at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Bruce’s mom Esther Jenner told the AP that she was "more proud of him now" than when he won his career-defining Olympic gold decathlon medal in 1976.
"It takes a lot of courage to do what he’s doing," Kendall, Kylie, Brody, and Brandon’s elderly, outspoken paternal grandmother noted in an interview.
"He said, ‘Mom, I’m still the same person.’ He said, ‘I’m still going to race cars, I’m still going to fly airplanes and I’m going to get my helicopter license.’"
No exact air date has been revealed for the interview on ABC News, but we expect with it coming up in a matter of weeks, we should know soon.
