We never thought we’d say this, but…
Move over, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler?
Amy Schumer hosted the 2015 MTV Movie Awards last night, joking about Harrison Ford’s plane crash, Kevin Hart’s height and what happens to her fingers when she watches Magic Mike.
(They "disappear," Schumer joked. Think about it, readers. Or don’t, if you’re under 16 years of age.)
Schumer opened the broadcast by hilariously inserting herself into a number of hit films, first lying with a young Ellar Coltrane and predicting her HPV diagnosis before joking about losing her "diverginity" at 17 ("that’s the butt one, right?")
Schumer then moved on to the monologue, firing away at both celebrities and the network that actually hired her for the event.
The comedian assured winners that, unlike at other awards ceremonies, they could speak as long as they wanted to without fear of getting played off stage.
"MTV is the one network that refuses to play music, so don’t worry," she told viewers.
