Lindsay Lohan showed that she has a sense of humor, if nothing else, in tackling her own terrible driving history with a Super Bowl ad for Esurance.
Lohan plugging car insurance – and portraying a mother with poor driving skills – is either ironic, hilariously self-aware or both given the star’s past.
After all, Lohan could be facing jail time thanks to a dispute over her community service, stemming from one of her vehicular brushes with the law.
One of many such brushes, as it were.
No laughing matter, really, but the 28-year-old actress was all smiles here, playing a soccer mom cheerily picking up her young son from school.
She didn’t have to adopt any method acting to screech up to the school, knock over a sign and slam into the curb in front of her kid and his friends.
"Your mom’s a terrible driver,” remarked one of the boy’s friends, after which point he replies, "That’s not my mom.” (Thank goodness for that).
Lindsay’s response? “Hey, I’m sorta your mom, we’re both 25 to 35 years old, we’re both women on the go and we’ve both clocked a lot of miles."
Actually, she is more like 28 going on 48 in some of the Lindsay Lohan photos below … but we see her point for the purposes of this TV advertisement.
Give her credit for being self-deprecating, although it’d also nice if she showed respect for the legal system and actually did her community service.
