Now that we know Bruce Jenner is transitioning into living his life as a woman, many have wondered about his famous family’s reaction to the news.
So far, it’s been reported that Bruce’s kids and step-children are being fully supportive, while Kris Jenner is in "meltdown mode" and attempting to figure out how to make Bruce’s sex change all about her.
Sounds about right. But what about the next generation?
After all, Bruce is a grandfather (or at least a step-grandfather) several times over, and the eldest of the young ones is big enough to understand at least part of what’s going on.
While the rest of Bruce’s grandkids will probably never remember him as a man, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick’s son Mason is 5 years old.
He’s likely to have a lot of questions in the coming months.
"Scott thinks that it is going to be a little weird to have to explain to the kids what is going on," a source tells Radar Online, for obvious reasons.
"As of right now, Bruce is ‘Pop-Pop’ to Mason and they do not know how they are going to tell Mason that Bruce is going to be a grandma now."
"Penelope is at that age where she will not remember Bruce as a man. And the same thing with Reign. But Mason is so inquisitive and nothing gets by him."
Fortunately, Bruce seems to understand that as long as you properly pamper your grandkids, they won’t really care that you’ve taken to wearing pearls:
"Bruce has spoiled Kourtney and her kids rotten for as long as he’s known them," says the source, noting that they’re still family. "They’ll figure it out."
Bruce is expected to open up about his new life for the first time in an interview with ABC’s legendary journalist Diane Sawyer in the next few weeks.
A reality show about Bruce’s sex change has reportedly already begun filming, but clearly, this transition has been slowly taking place for some time …
