Another week in Pennsylvania, another dramatic installment of parenting ups, downs, triumphs and setbacks on Kate Plus 8 Season 3 Episode 4.
Kate Gosselin held a yard sale in the penultimate episode of the season (yes, it’s almost over already, thankfully slash sadly), due to her clutter issue.
With that many bodies, one can see how her home resembles something hoarders would be familiar with. But how to address such a situation?
If you watch Kate Plus 8 online, you know she has her hands full.
Not just with the yard sale, but TWO birthday parties to plan this week in addition to the day to day goings on with eight kids to take care of. Nuts!
Plenty of people showed up to purchase the family’s old stuff at the yard sale, thanks to a radio ad. It raised a good amount of money for nothing.
She is ever thrifty, if only because it’s essential to survive in this post-Jon & Kate Plus 8 state (and we know Jon Gosselin isn’t supporting them).
Speaking of which … Jon reportedly crashed the yard sale to get some of his old crap back, although this was not shown on the episode Tuesday.
We know. How awkward must that have been?
Most attendees were from the area, but there was a woman who came all the way from California to meet Kate because her daughter had triplets.
There was also a man that paid $5 for a selfie with the reality star. Whatever blows your hair back, man. All in all, they raised more than $1,000.
Best of all? It was all to benefit the Berks County’s Animal Rescue League. She didn’t even keep it, or put price tags on the items. Pretty cool.
Meanwhile, Mady and Cara went to the indoor trampoline park Sky Zone in honor of their 14th birthdays. Mady certainly is acting her age of late.
Just don’t tell her that. As Mady put it to Kate Gosselin at one point:
"I’m not acting like this because I’m a teenager. I’m acting like this because you either did something unfair or the little kids are just really annoying."
Well, good to know. The family dog, Shooka, also celebrated a birthday, with a lot less drama. That bacon peanut putter cake with beef looked good.
The boys tasted it and concurred. Mady wasn’t a fan, obviously.
Looking ahead to next week, Kate and the kids will look back on episodes past and share some of the memories that made them so special.
We literally cannot wait.
