After months of rumors that he was cheating on Beyonce, things had just started to settle down in the personal life of the one they call Hov.
Jay Z was spending time with his wife and kid, recording new music, and having brunch with Taylor Swift. Everything was beautiful…Then Rymir Satterthwaite entered the picture.
Rymir is a 21-year-old aspiring rapper who claims the Jigga Man is his biological father.
Rymir and his legal guardian Lillie Colley have filed a civil suit against Jay which claims that he intentionally provided fraudulent information to the court in hopes of silencing Rymir and putting an end to his paternity claim.
There’s no word yet on just what that fraudulent info was, but according to TMZ, Jay is refusing to take a paternity test, and Colley claims that the hip hop icon’s avoidance of Satterthwaite is causing him emotional trauma.
So naturally, Colley and Satterthwaite are seeking damages. The amount they’re requesting hasn’t been revealed, but you can be sure it’s in the seven-figure range.
Jay would’ve been about 23 at the time Satterthwaite was conceived, and it’s entirely possible he knocked someone up in his youth (though we can’t imagine why it took this long for someone to come forward).
That said, even if Satterthwaite is able to prove Hov is his dad, it’s unlikely that he’ll be able to score a big payday from his civil suit.
