There was nowhere to run and virtually no place to hide for very many characters on The Originals Season 2 Episode 10.
The first installment of the new year found various individuals trapped exactly where they were, nearly helpless as their situations turned dire.
To wit…
Finn cast a spell on the Mikaelson compound (a strong one, as he’s using a subdued Mikael as a dark object) to trap the werewolves and vampires together.
He then made the blood suckers feel extreme hunger, leading to them nearly snacking on their past enemies.
But Davina and Kol teamed up to break the spell, helping the werewolves to safety. And themselves? Not so much.
Klaus is on to his duplicitous brother, yanking him back inside the compound and demanding to know what he did to Rebekah.
What he did, of course, was put her in the body of a witch trapped in an insane residence, some place from which she cannot escape and some place that is run by some scary supernatural people known as The Kindred.
They drugged Rebekah and they kept her prisoner, but not before she saw visions of some seemingly dead young girl, someone who lives in a casket inside the mansion.
At the very end of the hour, letters of a puzzle magically came together to form this person’s name, just as Rebekah was falling into a drug-induced sleep: Freya. WHOA!!!!!!!!
Elsewhere:
- Hayley told Jackson the truth about sleeping with Elijah. He reacted poorly at first, but then proposed anyway because it’s what is best for the pack.
- He told Hayley he loves her, but he’ll never force or expect her to love him back. Solid speech.
- Cami met Hope for the first time and then was pretty much ordered to remain at the home outside the city because she’s now in danger due to having knowledge of the baby’s existence.
- She spent time there with Elijah, trying to get to the bottom of the issues he’s had since Esther kept him hostage.
- Finn found a turned Esther and was disgusted by his mother as a vampire. But he still rescued her and knocked her out alongside her ex-husband.
- He’s bent on vengeance against his siblings and can now use both his evil parents as dark objects to help him attain his goal.
