Sunday on Sister Wives Season 6 Episode 1, the Brown family and their many, many offspring returned to TLC in ways both heartwarming and dramatic.
In both Sister Wives Season 6 Episode 1 and Sister Wives Season 6 Episode 2, which aired right after it, the family was “Growing Up and Moving Out.”
It’s a transitional period in their lives, you could say without going out on a limb. But what did that mean specifically for Kody Brown and his big brood?
If there were one takeaway from the sixth season opener, it’s Kody Brown’s hair. That never ceases to amaze after all these years. It’s truly incredible.
If there were a second takeaway, it’s that two of the Brown daughters are graduating high school, leaving the parents grappling with having adult children.
Kody was having a tough time with daughter Mykelti’s choice to go into fashion as a potential career path, despite the potential tie-ins with his coiffure.
In all seriousness, as a devout Mormon, Kody was predictably displeased about his little girl pursuing a field in which you stare at a lot of naked bodies.
Or Kendall Jenner. Point being, he’s very conflicted, and it’s not his first choice, but here is a self-aware man who realizes he can’t control his kids forever.
Not only does he ultimately support her ambitions, he wants to do what it takes to help her gain access to industry professionals who can help guide her.
Once again, the Kode-man has the right approach to parenting going for him.
You may not like his hair, or more significantly the fact that he is married to four women at the same time, but he’s a good dad, with his heart in the right place.
