Anthony Gulledge, a 30-year-old Memphis, Tenn., resident, was arrested charged with beating his girlfriend’s child for the most ridiculous of reasons:
He ate the last slice of cheesecake.
Anthony Gulledge just wanted to enjoy a little dessert, at the end of a long day, so imagine his rage when he discovered his girlfriend’s kid had eaten it.
You’ll have to imagine it, because no reasonable person would become so infuriated as to beat the boy, grab him by his ankles and whip him repeatedly.
The boy is three years old.
His mother told police that this is exactly what happened, and as a result, he’s being treated for a broken femur bone, dislocated vertebrae in his back, and more.
He is in critical condition.
Police records show that officers responded to multiple domestic assault reports at the very same address in the past, according to WMC Actions News 5.
Gulledge is being held on a $210,000 bond, and is charged with neglect, aggravated child abuse and domestic assault. He maintains he is innocent.
