She did it! Lindsay Lohan avoided the slammer yet again, this time with some last-minute hustling that she’d been putting off for months.
We reported earlier this week that Lindsay was scrambling to complete her community service by today.
Sources say the prosecutor in Lindsay’s case was pushing for jail time, as the service hours were supposed to be finished way back in November.
Ever the master of excuses, Lindsay blamed her predicament on the fact that she contracted an untreatable virus during a recent island vacation.
She got sick in late December, so obviously she couldn’t have done her community service in November, you see? Makes perfect sense in Lindsay Land.
Anyway, the trick astonishingly worked, as TMZ is reporting that Linds met the court’s requirements in the eleventh hour of her extended deadline.
Lindsay is in London again for some reason, but she’s reportedly prepared to have a letter of completion sent to a judge in LA.
No one knows if Lindsay has already finished, or if she’s completing the hours today and planning to have the letter sent before the close of business hours in London (which is coming up mighty soon).
All sources involved, however, say that the letter will be overnighted today and that Lindsay has dodged yet another legal bullet.
