Arrow finally returned with a new episode last night, the very first installment of 2015.
But while viewers around the country celebrated this fact, Diggle put on his serious and sad face in order to warn Felicity: Oliver really might be dead.
And after forcing fans to wait six weeks (plus 58 more minutes), Arrow Season 3 Episode 10 revealed that our hero had been rescued from that ravine ledge by Maseo.
The League member proceeded to delivered his nearly dead pal to the care of wife Tatsu, who managed to bring him back to life. Somehow.
Maseo defied Ra’s al Ghul’s wishes because he owed a debt to Oliver. It was revealed during the hour (via flashbacks) that he once angered boss lady Amanda Waller by letting a Triad baddie go free… therefore, the GPS device Oliver planted on the guy would lead them to Tatsu, who had been taken by China White.
Back in Starling City, though, Team Arrow attempted to keep up the good fight, even if their main man was truly gone.
However, once Malcolm made a whirlwind visit to the sacred site of the trial by combat and came back with Oliver’s blood on Ra’s al Ghul’s scimitar, their mission becomes less clear, their eyes became filled with tears.
But Diggle notes that evidence found at a gang execution site match up with Danny “Brick” Brickwell, giving him and Roy something to distract them from Oliver’s presumed death.
Their mission fails, however, after Felicity shuts the warehouse doors in front of them because she is choosing “not to let anyone else I care about die.”
Diggle ends up complaining to Laurel that Brick undid eight months’ worth of Team Arrow work in eight minutes by stealing files. Will Diggle be going back to work, even with Oliver gone? He doesn’t know.
And as he walks away, Laurel eyes the Black Canary outfit. It’s a cool moment. You should watch Arrow online to check it out.
Finally, surprising Thea at her residence, Malcolm warns that they are now in danger and must get out of town.
Elsewhere, after Brick rallies his troops – that is, the many men Team Arrow had gotten locked up – Laurel-as-Canary gets the jump on two of them to deliver “the justice you can’t run from!” HOORAY!
Where will this go next? Find out Arrow Season 3 Episode 11 airs on Wednesday, January 28.
