The royals have officially arrived in America!

Last month, we learned that Prince William and Kate Middleton would be visiting NYC some time in December, but many details of the trip (such as the exact dates) were kept under wraps.

This morning, Will and Kate touched down stateside, and for the moment, they’re in separate cities.

William is in Washington, DC, where he met with President Obama today and attended a World Bank conference. Kate is already in New York, and she took some time today to visit the Northside Center for Child Development in Harlem.

Kate reportedly toured the center, spoke with staff, and pitched in to help wrap Christmas presents.

It was a lovely gesture on the Duchess’ part, but the most highly anticipated portion of her trip is yet to come:

As expected, Kate will hang with LeBron James tonight when William joins her in NYC to take in the Brooklyn Nets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game at the Barclay’s Center.

James told the press today that it’s a "huge honor" to have Will and Kate attend an NBA game.

The royal couple will reportedly be in New York through Wednesday, and they’ve scheduled meet-and-greets with Tom Hanks, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, and opera singer Renee Fleming.
